Platform fee

The charge a payment processor takes for handling a transaction, separate from what the blockchain itself charges to record it.

How it works in CryptoLike

CryptoLike sets its platform fee per asset and per direction: incoming payments (invoices and static addresses) and payouts. On incoming funds it is a percentage of the credited amount plus a fixed part, with a minimum, charged only when a payment is confirmed and credited. The standard rates since 9 October 2026: 0.8 % on incoming payments for every asset, with no fixed part and a minimum per asset (0.6 USDT on TRON and about $0.6 in BTC, LTC or TRX; 2 USDT or USDC on Ethereum and about $2 in ETH); no platform fee on payouts, except a fixed 1 USDT for USDT on TRON. The minimum exists because collecting each payment from its address into the platform's wallet is a network transaction the platform pays for, whatever the amount. The live schedule is on the pricing page; individual rates of your account are shown in the cabinet.

Every amount is visible as a number with its unit. GET /v1/transactions shows the gross amount, the platform fee and net_amount for each row; a static-address deposit carries deposit.fee and deposit.net_amount; a payout shows platform_fee in the estimate and in the withdrawal, next to the network fee.

Who pays the platform fee?

By default the CryptoLike platform fee is deducted from what you receive (fee_paid_by: merchant). Set fee_paid_by: payer when you create a payment and the fee is added on top: the checkout page asks for payer_amount, which already includes it, and a payment paid in full credits you amount_crypto. The choice is per payment, from the API or the cabinet form.

Example

A CryptoLike payment where the customer bears the platform fee needs one extra field in the request. The checkout page then shows the larger amount to send, with the fee already included, and your balance receives the full price of the order once the payment is confirmed and credited:

  "currency": "USD",
  "order_id": "10042",
  "fee_paid_by": "payer"
