Supported assets and networks

CryptoLike accepts seven assets on four networks: Bitcoin (BTC), Litecoin (LTC), Ethereum (ETH, plus USDT and USDC as ERC20 tokens) and TRON (TRX, plus USDT as a TRC20 token). The same token on two networks is two assets: USDT on TRON and USDT on Ethereum have different addresses, fees and confirmation thresholds. The table comes from GET /v1/currencies, the same catalogue your integration reads; platform fees are on the pricing page.

Which network should I accept USDT on?

CryptoLike accepts USDT on both TRON (TRC20) and Ethereum (ERC20), and you do not have to choose one. Create a payment with currency: "USDT" or a fiat code and no coin_id, and the payer picks the network on the payment page. The payer pays the network fee in TRX on TRON or in ETH on Ethereum, so offering both lets them pay where they already hold funds.

Pass a coin_id only when the network must be fixed in advance, for example when your customer base uses one network. The details of each: USDT on TRON (TRC20), USDT on Ethereum (ERC20), and the comparison in USDT TRC20 vs ERC20.

What does a confirmation threshold mean?

A confirmation threshold is the number of blocks CryptoLike waits for after a transfer before it credits the funds. It is set per asset, shown in the table and returned in GET /v1/currencies. Until the threshold is reached the payment is pending ("Payment detected. Waiting for confirmation."); at the threshold it becomes paid and your balance grows.

The payment page shows the payer the progress as "n of N confirmations". If a network reorganisation later reverts a confirmed transfer, the payment is recomputed and you receive invoice.reverted: ship on paid, and handle reverted. More in confirmations and how many confirmations a crypto payment needs.

What if an asset is under maintenance?

An asset under maintenance has maintenance: true in GET /v1/currencies and cannot be chosen for new payments until the flag clears. CryptoLike keeps watching the network meanwhile: transfers to payments and static addresses that already exist are still credited after their confirmations, and their webhooks are sent as usual.

While the flag is on, creating a payment, a static address or a payout in that asset answers 503 unavailable: retry later with backoff, or offer the payer another asset. A payment created without coin_id simply does not offer that asset on the payment page. The flag is temporary, used for example during problems on a network.
